- Go to amazon.com
- Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click sell on amazon.
A new page will load with information about the selling on amazon opportunity. You will see a big blue button (or whatever color it is today) with the words start selling. Do not click it. - What you really need to do is look directly below the button for a rather hidden link which says “Just have a few items to sell? Sign up to become an individual seller”.
Selling as individual on Amazon has no upfront costs and is perfect for you if you just want to get your feet wet.
This will lead you to a new page for you to enter your email address and create an amazon seller’s account.

How to sell on Amazon as a business
Now that you have decided that it’s time to graduate from selling as an individual to a professional business seller on amazon, it’s time for some heavy lifting. Keep in mind that the Amazon Professional seller plan gives you the opportunity to sell an unlimited number of products, but you have to pay a $39.99 monthly subscription fee. You will also be charged a nominal fee each time a product is sold.
- Read the information on the page.
- Scroll down, then click “Sell as a professional”.
- This time you will be taken to the Amazon seller central sign-up page to create an account.
- Enter your best email address and create a strong password.
- Remember to write down your password somewhere safe so you can retrieve later to log into your account.
